Saturday 11 May 2019, morning time I discovered first a probably new Banksy artwork, after days of Biennal preview, I was astonished by the new discovery.
A beautiful thematic piece that reminds many ideas, immigrant, global warming, art contradiction. The British street artist Banksy appears at the end of last week of 11 May, after a preview of the Venice Biennale with a stencil of a migrant child wearing a lifejacket holding aloft a fizzing neon pink flare.
The work, which has all the characteristics of a Banksy, has not yet appeared on the artist’s Instagram account or website. The first Article I made it was thanks to Artribune, then the news appeared all over the world. Issues of migration and immigration are prevalent at this year’s Venice Biennale, entitled May You Live in Interesting Times, a nod, its curator Ralph Rugoff says, to the “condition of late capitalism, lurching from crisis to crisis”.
Banksy has also frequently addressed the refugee crisis in his work. Here the first photo made it.
